Eel is Morven School’s Totem!

Viv and Glenda’s students spent the entire day with Te Tuna Wahine and her EnviroSchools cohort, Hilary Isles.

Not only did these natural artists get a good start on their tapestry section, but they also visited the spot where the local river runs into the Pacific.  We found shortfin eels, flounder, bullies, inanga (whitebait), and a variety of small invertebrates which the kids were able to later draw with amazing artistic abilities.
